Earlier in the month, Barcelona took an important step towards financial stability by announcing an extended partnership with Aramark.
This deal will bring the club an income of €40 million, making up for the unpaid dues by Libero in the Barça Vision deal.
Initially, it was believed that the deal would help Barcelona return to the 1:1 rule. But it later appeared that the club required more fresh revenue in order to get back to this regime.
La Liga yet to validate Aramark deal
As Barcelona scramble for new sources of income, a recent report from Que T’hi Jugues has offered another grim report, as far as the club’s finances are concerned.
As per the report, La Liga has not yet validated Barcelona’s agreement with Aramark, citing incomplete documentation.
The Blaugrana club must submit the contract and all necessary documentation to La Liga for approval.
Once validated, the €40 million from Aramark would help balance the debt that Barcelona have had pending since last summer due to the sale of Barça Studios in 2022.
The report does add that Barcelona will submit all the required documents this week. Once the documents are validated, the club will look to push for the sale of a few unwanted stars, in order to further reduce the inflated wage bill.
Clement Lenglet, for one, is reportedly closing in on a move to Atletico Madrid, while Vitor Roque is also in contention to leave the club before the end of the summer transfer market.
Barcelona’s bid to register key players, including Inigo Martinez and Dani Olmo, could heavily depend on the club’s ability to offload these players.
