Positive Crop Outlook for Western Iowa Farmer
A farmer in west-central Iowa expresses optimism regarding the current growing season.
Jeff Frank, who cultivates corn and soybeans in Sac County, highlights the favorable conditions that have contributed to the development of his crops.
“We have experienced adequate rainfall to support crop growth without being excessive. the outlook is very promising,” Frank stated.
In an interview with Brownfield, Frank mentions that he plans to prioritize disease management in the upcoming weeks.
“Our focus is on applying fungicide to the corn crop this week. As for the soybeans, we have already treated some fields and have more to cover. It has been a hectic period recently,” he added.
Frank underscores the importance of fungicide applications in enhancing stalk strength as the season progresses.
